Jennifer Dirkes is an orchestrator and composer for film, television, video games, and commercial use.
She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in 2008 and continued her studies at Rice University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition in 2012. Subsequently, she received a Master of Arts and a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2014 and 2017, respectively. Her graduate research proposed synchretic analysis, a system for analyzing film music based on the rhythmic interaction between underscore and filmic elements.
She lives in Southern California with her husband, 2 children, and her first child, a labradoodle named Bambi.
